Samantha Ellingson

Sam is a dedicated trial lawyer who provides creative solutions and proactive advice that sees beyond the immediate crisis.

Sam has expertise representing individuals and organizations in a range of business matters, including partnership and shareholder disputes, breach-of-contract claims, and matters involving non-compete and confidentiality agreements. Many of these actions involve fraud or criminal implications, and Sam is skilled at investigating these claims, navigating clients through difficult circumstances, and defending employees, shareholders, and businesses facing potential administrative, licensing, or criminal consequences. To provide lasting solutions, Sam identifies strategies for effective risk management and advises businesses on their contract negotiations with third-parties and employees.

She also has experience litigating property and property-tax disputes, pursuing compliance with the Minnesota Data Practices Act—both in state court and through administrative actions; and in and trusts and estates matters involving disputed trusts, fraudulent conveyances, and fiduciaries such as trustees, guardians, personal representatives, and conservators.

Sam understands that legal disputes do not exist in a vacuum. She seeks practical solutions that balance the realities her clients face with the need to protect their interests.
